No Land Training (Mon 30th Oct)

Just a quick reminder to all the swimmers who attend land training on Mondays 4:00pm - 4:50pm: There is no land training session on Monday 30th October. Pool training will be on as normal. Senior swimmers can still use the gym facilities, if they have been inducted and are over 14 years! Laura :)

Funding from Staffordshire County Council

Stafford Apex have been fortunate enough to receive funding through the Staffordshire Local Community Fund. We were supported by councillors Maureen Compton, Ann Edgeller and Carolyn Trowbridge. We were able to purchase 2 new laptops and a printer. Each time we host an open meet, the poolside office becomes a hive of activity. We connect our club laptops to the Colorado timing system to record the results of heats, we use the information from the laptops to generate start lists for the officials, we use them to produce results. Chase Roebuck Report

What a long, hot and sweaty time we had at Chase's gala at the weekend. Despite that, everyone put up their best front and tried their very best. Unfortunately I was only poolside on Saturday, everyone was smiley and raring to swim. Every breastroke turn was executed with 2 hands on the wall which it is safe to say is an improvement from the cosacss gala. Once again thank you to all the coaches and poolside team for supporting throughout the weekend. And also a special well done to those who achieved county and midland times. (Arthur tells me it was more of the same on Sunday, so well done to all our swimmers! - Ed)
