Funding from Staffordshire County Council

Stafford Apex have been fortunate enough to receive funding through the Staffordshire Local Community Fund. We were supported by councillors Maureen Compton, Ann Edgeller and Carolyn Trowbridge. We were able to purchase 2 new laptops and a printer. Each time we host an open meet, the poolside office becomes a hive of activity. We connect our club laptops to the Colorado timing system to record the results of heats, we use the information from the laptops to generate start lists for the officials, we use them to produce results. The start lists need printing in quantity and the results lists need printing quickly. The results also need posting to the internet.

Last, but not least, the results are uploaded to the ASA to be added to their database. Without these results our swimmers (and those of other clubs) would not have qualifying times recorded for Counties and Midlands. Without the funding from Stafford County Council the club would not have been able to afford to purchase these items. The laptops and printer will be used in December and at every club open meet and gala for the foreseeable future.
