Ponds Forge....Fired Up, Ready to Go

On the weekend of 18th and 19th January a team of 28 Apex swimmers attended the Rotherham Metro A and B Grade Long course meet at Sheffield, Ponds Forge. Between them they entered 147 races and achieved an amazing medal haul of 27 in the A grade event (5 Gold, 7 Silver and 15 Bronze) and 30 in the B grade event (11 Gold, 13 Silver and 6 Bronze). What a fantastic achievement over two long days of competition.

Congratulations to all the swimmers in their first event of 2020 with some competing in a 50 metre pool for the first time; great preparation for their future events!

Thank you to the poolside team and a massive thanks to the parents that supported the children with cheering them along and keeping them fed and watered throughout the weekend.
