Apex Members at the British Championships 2019

Four Apex members were competing at the British Championships in Tolcross, Glasgow this week: Tom Derbyshire (who now trains at Bath NC), Ben Cope, Tom Watkin and Finn Nicholl, who all train at Royal Wolverhampton. All four began their swimming careers at Apex and are still members of the club. Tom Derbyshire won Bronze medals in the 800m freestyle and the 1500m Freestyle.

Ben Cope had an excellent week, swimming in 4 events, and reaching the Junior Final in the 400m freestyle, and the Transition Finals in both the 400IM and the 200IM, despite still being in the junior age group. Tom Watkin made Junior Finals in the 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle. Well done to all four of them for getting to the British Championships; a great achievement in itself!
