Rotherham Metro Long Course Meet 2019

Agape with the sight of our first Olympic Sized Pool, we arrived excited for the day!

First timer and the experienced Apex Long Meet swimmers got comfortable with the great venue swiftly. The energetic white noise and music filled the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre as morning warm-up began.

As the day moved on more and more the announcements came with top 3 places for many of the Apex Team, PBs, Medals, Midlands Times and a super swimming experience for every single competitor.

Across the clapping and shouting as swimmers cut through the water driving - and diving - themselves onwards, the ever present Apex SC team spirit and cheer rang out across the pool “Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! GO!”

Congratulations across both days to all swimmers for a fantastic 2019 Long Meet. Also a massive thank you to the parents, volunteers and coaches who looked after the team, officiated, supported, making the great event possible!

We’re already looking forward to the return in 2020!
