West Midlands Championships 2018 -1st Weekend

Well done to all Apex swimmers who competed on the first weekend of the West Midlands Championships: Joe Stratton, Finn Nicholl, Ben Scarrott, Simon Hadfield & Arthur Mears. They ensured that the coach would not get home early by getting into 6 finals between them across both days. Many PBs were achieved and there were lots of great swims.

On Saturday, Finn Nicholl won Gold in the 100m freestyle and Silver in the 200m IM in the 16 Year Age Group.

Joe Stratton won two bronze medals: one on Saturday in the 14 Year Age group 200m IM, and one on Sunday in the 14/under 400m IM.

Arthur Mears (16 Years) and Simon Hadfield (17/Over) both reached the finals for the 100m backstroke.
