Nuneaton Open Meet

What a weekend for our swimmers at Nuneaton.

A truly fun gala and the support in the skins for jack, Stephen and I was incredible. Simon obtained a club record in the 50m backstroke and other mentions include goals being smashed by Jack with a 53. And a 24. On the 100 and 50 free in his last open meet under apex full time.

Finn showed his nationals preparation is going smoothly with a 3 second pb on 200 free and smashing the 2-minute barrier with a 1:58, then a 55.2 on the 100

More short course midland times too for Finn, Jack, Stephen and I.

For the younger swimmers, pb's and medals were everywhere. In total:

18 golds 21 silvers 30 bronze

As the last club meet this season (and the first for some) everyone should be thoroughly proud of themselves and have gained valuable experience from a well ran open meet. Next week it is midland open water championships and then nationals.
